The Clinical Coding Analyst is responsible for pre-bill inpatient chart reviews specific to MS DRG assignment.  The analyst is responsible for identifying revenue opportunities and compliance risks based on the Official ICD-10-CM/PCS Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHA Coding Clinics, disease process, procedure recognition, and clinical knowledge. Clinical Documentation Specialists

The Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of physician documentation utilizing their clinical/coding expertise to ensure the patients’ severity of illness is accurately portrayed in the medical record and to support increased coding accuracy. Read more.

Inpatient Clinical Coders

The Inpatient Clinical Coder is responsible for accurately assigning all reportable diagnoses and procedures, for complete and accurate coding of a medical record, per Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines.
