ACDIS25 Wrap-Up: From ENspiration to Impact

We’re still feeling the excitement and momentum from ACDIS 2025! It was such a pleasure to connect with so many familiar faces and to meet new ones as we came together in celebration of all things CDI. Our booth was buzzing with energy, and we’re so grateful to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about Enjoin, and take part in the fun.

One of the highlights this year was our ENspiration Station—a place where attendees could share what inspires them, who inspires them, their favorite CDI tips, and motivational quotes. The wall quickly filled with heartfelt messages, polaroids, and powerful reflections from across the profession. Because of your contributions, we were proud to donate to The DAISY Foundation in honor of Nurses Week.

The DAISY Foundation (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) honors the superhuman work nurses do for patients and families every day. Through recognition programs and awards, the Foundation celebrates the compassion and clinical excellence that defines the nursing profession—values we know resonate deeply with our CDI community.

This year’s ACDIS agenda was packed with relevant, thoughtful sessions that touched on everything from documentation accuracy and Pediatric Sepsis to growing new CDI programs and tackling denials. The variety and depth of topics truly spoke to the evolving landscape of clinical documentation and the expanding role of CDI professionals in every care setting.

We were especially proud to feature two of our very own experts on stage:
Adriane Martin, DO, FACOS, ACPA-C, CCDS, Vice President of Physician Services and Kim Conner, BSN, RN, CCDS-O, Clinical Documentation & Denials Program Manager who brought their deep insight and energy to both the ACDIS Outpatient Symposium and the main ACDIS conference.

At the Outpatient Symposium, they presented “Facility-based Outpatient CDI: E/M & More!” offering attendees practical strategies and clarity around E/M documentation in the outpatient setting. Later in the week, Kim took the stage once more to present “Mastering the Art of Persuasion: Crafting Effective Denial Appeal Letters,” guiding the audience through impactful approaches to writing clear, evidence-based appeals that get results.

“Speaking at ACDIS this year was an honor and incredibly rewarding, it felt like standing at the intersection of purpose and progress. There is a powerful momentum in our field right now and being able to share strategies that help transform denials into opportunities for advocacy was both humbling and energizing. Empowering others to take a more strategic, confident approach to denial appeals, and witnessing the community’s hunger for tools that truly make a difference, was a profound reminder of why we do this work.”  – Kim Conner, BSN, RN, CCDS-O

This year’s event saw a noticeable uptick in exhibitors, particularly those showcasing AI-driven technologies. A common thread among conversations? While innovation is accelerating, one message stood out loud and clear: technology alone isn’t enough. True efficiency and impact come when it’s paired with the human touch. That’s why we’re excited about the announcement of EnFORM+—our latest solution that blends over 37 years of physician expertise with powerful, purpose-built technology. The result? A smarter, more seamless way to improve documentation accuracy and ensure the complete patient story is captured with clarity and precision.

As we reflect on ACDIS25, one theme stands out: inspiration. From our conversations in the booth to the sessions we attended and the stories you shared, it’s clear that the CDI community is filled with passion, purpose, and an unwavering dedication to improving patient care.

Your role in the CDI profession truly makes a difference. Every code clarified, every query written, every story told through documentation; It’s all part of a greater mission to improve patient care. Keep leading with purpose, passion, and inspiration as we continue to be “Guardians of the Data.”

We can’t wait to see you again next year in Chicago for ACDIS26!
