Chief Operations Officer
Jolene Jarrell, RHIA, CCS, is an experienced HIM professional with several years’ experience working in acute care facilities with responsibility and expertise in HIM operations, compliance, coding and auditing, revenue cycle, utilization management, chargemaster, and HIPAA privacy. Before her success at Enjoin, Jolene was an HIM Consultant responsible for assessing HIM operations related to revenue cycle management and leading process change using best practices. She graduated from Gardner Webb University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management.
As Chief Operating Officer since 2010, Jolene is responsible for enhancing internal infrastructure to align with the company’s strategy for successful growth. Ms. Jarrell also serves as the Chief Security Officer and has direct oversight of the company’s compliance program. Her experience in healthcare compliance drives her passion for ethical excellence for Enjoin employees and customers.
Jolene’s experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering business solutions, providing outstanding client customer service, and attracting and optimizing team member talent that aligns with Enjoin’s core value in “achieving excellence in all that we do.”
Ms. Jarrell is a member of the American Health Information Management Association where she is recognized as a Registered Health Information Administrator and Certified Coding Specialist. She served on the North Carolina Health Information Management Association Board for over 10 years and was the NCHIMA President from 2014 -2015. Jolene was the recipient of the NCHIMA Distinguished Member Award in 2015 for her efforts in transforming the CSA’s operational and financial strategies to ensure sustainability. She currently serves on the NCHIMA Finance Committee.
In addition to supporting and advocating her professional association, Ms. Jarrell also serves on the Board of Directors on a not-for-profit foundation for kidney cancer research and patient advocacy. Raising awareness and supporting cancer research is a passion for Ms. Jarrell, like many, who have been touched by this deadly disease.
