Jennifer Eaton RN, MSN, CCDS

Jennifer Eaton, RN, MSN, CCDS is the Executive Director of Consulting Services & Education for Enjoin. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Loyola University and has over 15 years of acute care nursing experience, with over 10 years of CDI experience. Prior to joining Enjoin in 2013, she served as CDI Director for a large healthcare system in the Southeast. Jennifer is an active member of ACDIS (Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists) and has been a speaker at national industry meetings. She was elected to the ACDIS Advisory Board in 2020 and will serve through April 2023.

As Executive Director of Consulting Services and Education Jennifer she leads the company’s efforts related to Enjoin’s CDI program management ensuring excellence for all client engagements including program assessment and gap analysis, data analytics, delivery, education and training, and ongoing support. With the move toward value-based care, she ensures Enjoin’s consulting services remain industry best practice, with a focus on demonstrated impact of CDI on revenue cycle outcomes, profiling and quality outcomes and population health.

With Enjoin’s unique physician-led approach to CDI, she works collaboratively with the Enjoin physician team to ensure an effective and consistent process for clinical documentation and physician education for all clients. She also played an integral role in the development of CDocT, the industry’s only comprehensive web-based resource tool for value-based care, including development of CDI training materials and references.

With a commitment and passion for CDI excellence and advancement, Jennifer has guided many healthcare organizations in establishing a CDI operational model of success and innovative paths that lead to a greater growth of scope, program success, and sustainability.
